We like to keep things simple in the kitchen most of the time, but these Zebra Shortbread Cookies are perfect when you want to impress with something a little fancier.
The cookie itself is a vanilla and chocolate swirled slice cookies, and if you want to get extra fancy, you can also use food coloring on to make these cookies perfect for game day, holidays, etc.
We made these cookies for Christmas and they were a huge hit. They take a little extra time to prepare, but the payoff is totally worth it. Several people told me these were their favorite cookies on the trays I handed out (though I was personally partial to these caramel pretzel cookies my mom made).
These cookies come from the Baking for All Occasions cookbook by Flo Braker, so if you want the full recipe, ya gotta buy the book!
But here’s the good news: you can find hard copies available for under $5, and if you like cookbooks on your Kindle, that version is only around $15. You’ll get this cookie recipe, plus over 200 others such as Dark Chocolate Custard Tart and Banana Bottom Pineapple-Swirl Cupcakes, so it is a great deal!
