#CookoutWeek is winding down, and I’m looking forward to trying out the yummy recipes bloggers have been posting. I wanted to end the week on a sweet note, with a recipe that is great for a hot summer day.
When it is 90° and humid outside, doesn’t a fruity popsicle taste perfect?
And it’s even better with wine in it.

I was looking around Pinterest one day and came across a sangria ice pop recipe from Tasty Kitchen. I had just purchased a popsicle mold for 4 pops with the stick included in the lid at a flea market for $1.
Perfect time to test it out!
I work for Benigna’s Creek Winery here in Pennsylvania, so I brought some white wine home after work to try this recipe.
I wanted to make these pops with less sugar because my husband is diabetic, so I found a light white grape juice and an orange juice with only half the sugar. You could use regular juices and regula white sugar in this recipe if you don’t need to watch your sugar.
These are so cool and refreshing. Perfect for #CookoutWeek. You could try other fruits or fruit wines – mix and match to create your own custom flavor.
White Sangria Popsicles
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet white wine or fruit wine
- 3/4 cup mixed chopped fruit I used peaches and blueberries
- 5/8 cup white grape juice
- 3 Tablespoons Splenda
- 1/8 cup orange juice
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, mix wine and chopped fruit. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
-
In another bowl, whisk together white grape juice, orange juice, and Splenda.
-
Pour mixtures together and stir.
-
Pour mixture into molds, letting a little space at the top for the pops to expand.
-
Use a spoon to stir the fruit to make sure it is not all at the bottom of the pops.
-
Freeze until solid.
