Most of the time we post recipes here on The PinterTest Kitchen, but this time my scrapbooking and card making is being featured. A few weeks weeks ago I needed some thank you cards. My husband had been in the hospital a few times since November and he wanted to send the nurses thank you cards.
(Side note: Shout out to nurses – you guys are wonderful and often don’t get the thanks you deserve! The entire Boyer family says THANK YOU for all you do!)
I usually have a variety of homemade cards on hand but I had no thank you cards left. So I checked Pinterest for some ideas!
I repinned this card idea, which originally comes from Gretchen Clark’s {a little of this & that} Blog. I checked my supplies to see what I had available.
I had gotten a new punch on sale at a local craft store. Time to give it a try. I always save my scrap pieces of paper. I punched 3 different coordinating papers.
I cut a small piece of paper to stamp thank you on it. If you don’t have a stamp print it on your computer or hand write it, if you have nice handwriting!
I looked through my scraps of ribbon and found a piece to match the colors I picked.
I cut every thing to fit the blank card I had and started assembling the card. I have a Xyron Create-a-Sticker Machine with an adhesive cartridge in it which works better than a glue stick. Less messy, too.
I found some stickers to fill the black spaces and it was finished. You don’t have to run out and buy anything special. Just use what you have in your stash!

These are so cute! I love this idea of making your own greeting cards. I will be pinning this! I came over from the Market Yourself Monday link party.
