Summer weather seemed to drag on forever this year, but it is finally fall. That took forever, didn’t it? I don’t know about you, but was over the super hot and humid days, so I’m glad we’re now in the 50s and 60s.
(Though I will say… it can stay in this temperature range. I don’t need it to suddenly jump to below freezing temps!)
My favorite fall flavors are the warm spices such as nutmeg and ginger. I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin spice lattes, but I wanted to include those same flavors in a quick and easy chocolate recipe for #Choctoberfest this year. One of our sponsors, Forte Chocolates, sent me some delicious milk chocolate bars, so why not a delicious chocolate bark, filled with all of the lovely warm spices of fall and some bits of caramel for good measure?
For this recipe, I recommend a very high quality chocolate, like Forte’s bars, so you get a smooth finish. Whenever you’re making bark, high-quality chocolate is very important for a yummy final product. You could easily use one of Forte’s white or dark chocolate bars instead of milk.
Or why not try all three? Right now, Forte is having a great deal! UseĀ CHOCTOBERFEST2018 at checkout to get a FREE chocolate bar for every 3 you buy!
Here’s the printable recipe. Scroll down to get more yummy chocolate recipes being posted today for #Choctoberfest.
