Happy Independence Day, everyone! We’re having a great day, even more than normal on a holiday because my boyfriend, Jeffrey, got home from deployment yesterday after five months aboard the U.S.S. Eisenhower. They’ve been gone 10 out of the last 12 months, so it’s a great feeling to have him back home!
To help you celebrate the holiday, here’s a list of some of our favorite red, white, and blue recipes:
- Strawberry Spinach Salad
- Red Velvet Thumbprint Cookies
- Light & Fresh Strawberry Pie
- Homemade Pizza Roll

I went hunting on Pinterest for my July Fourth recipes as well. I made watermelon stars with provolone and blueberries- super easy and kid-friendly) and Crab Rangoon dip on which I sprinkled dyed-cracker crumbs in a star shape. All from pinterest! 🙂
Red velvet thumbprints! YUM! I’m off to check out that recipe 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
