One recipe I see pop up on Pinterest again and again is Korean beef using ground beef. It’s always intrigued me, but I’ve never had Korean beef before, so I wasn’t really sure what it was supposed to taste like.
I’m still not 100% sure what it’s supposed to taste like. But the version I make sure is tasty! After reading over a bunch of different recipes, I tested out different ingredient ratios and came up with what I like best.
Plus, there’s a good chance you already have most of the ingredients you need in your fridge or pantry already, as is the case with the Roasted Chicken recipe I posted earlier this week.
I like to serve this dish with rice and some braised veggies (my boyfriend loves broccoli). You could do noodles instead, or this beef would be fantastic in a taco. Make this recipe as spicy or as mild as you want, just by adding more or less red chili pepper flakes.
I’m sorry to anyone who is Korean and actually knows how to make Korean beef the proper way! :-p
