What mother wouldn’t love an entire pound of chocolate delivered straight to their door for mothers day? Because, after all, we all know that chocolate has no calories on holidays, especially if you are a mom.
Okay, chocolate probably had calories on holidays, even for moms, but I’m no doctor…
Anyway, ClubsGalore wanted to sponsor an honest review of one of their “of the month” clubs for Mother’s Day, so I decided to send my mom a sample of their chocolates to try. They have more than 40 clubs to choose from, plus their “mix & match” club, where you get to pick and choose what your mom gets every month, rather than sending the same thing for an entire year.
It’s an awesome unique gift idea, and – BONUS – no trip to the mall.
Chocolate of the Month was the perfect choice for my mom. We all have a bit of a sweet tooth, and the box she got in the mail was huge.
But more important than the size…how did the Chocolate of the Month chocolates taste?
Caramel and peanut butter were definite favorites. And of course, the chocolate-covered pretzels. Because, seriously, who doesn’t love chocolate-covered pretzels? My sister stopped by to try a piece, and the white-chocolate piece in the center was her favorite. I think she would have liked an entire box of them!
I know this was an early Mother’s Day gift, but my dad tried some as well. Hey, dads like chocolate too! Two thumbs up from him. Well, one thumb up, but only because he was holding chocolate in the other hand!
Yes, that’s my dad’s workshop in the background. My mom hand-delivered chocolate to him. So spoiled! π
There was one flavor that got a big “nooooo” from everyone – jelly-filled. That’s a matter of personal taste, I guess, but jelly combined with chocolate was not a good combination in our opinions!
Other than that, all of the chocolates were enjoyed by our family. It’s kind of fun to eat chocolates together, taste-testing all of the different combinations. π
With chocolate, as with most things in life…you get what you pay for. The Chocolate of the Month club price from ClubsGalore is a little steep, to be honest. BUT these are not gas-station chocolates you’re getting. ClubsGalore works with small-batch chocolatiers who use high-quality ingredients, so you’re really getting an extra-special chocolatey experience.
So are you interested in getting the Chocolate of the Month club – or any of the fun clubs from ClubsGalore – for your mom this Mother’s Day? I’ve got a special bonus for you! ClubsGalore has a coupon code for all readers here at The PinterTest Kitchen, so you can treat your moms.
Save $5 off your first month, plus free shipping. Use code CGMOM5 at checkout.
Valid through 5/10/15.
ClubsGalore has a new monthly payment option, to make it easier to afford that perfect gift for mom, and you also have a “print your gift announcement” option when you check out, so you can tell mom that her gift is in the mail. I love that feature, since it can be awkward to say, “Oh, by the way, did you get something in the mail from me?” This way, just pop the announcement in a card, and you’re good to go!
If you want your first package to arrive before Mother’s Day, make sure to order soon! Free shipping in time for Mother’s Day is available until April 25th with the coupon code. Two day shipping will be available 4/26 – 5/7 and overnight express delivery will be available 5/6 – 5/8…so even if you’re a last-minute, shopper, there’s still time. π

This sounds wonderful! I can’t think of anything I’d rather get than chocolate, except maybe diamonds π
Some days, I want chocolate more than diamonds, hehe. π
Looks like a great new assortment to try!
