15+ Chocolate Recipes that Use Your Stand Mixer

My KitchenAid stand mixer hasn’t been getting enough use lately! If it’s going to take up that much counter space, it needs to pull a little more weight around here. So, I decided to compile a list of delicious chocolate recipes that use a stand mixer (thanks to some help from a few blogger friends).

Now, if you don’t have a stand mixer, KitchenAid or otherwise, you can use a hand mixer for most of these recipes. Heck, you can even use a little elbow grease with a whisk for some of them! But having a stand mixer definitely comes in hand. Luckily for you, we are giving one away. You can enter our #Choctoberfest giveaway here.

Without further ado, here are some chocolate stand mixer recipes you just have to try. Feel free to leave your own favorites in the comments!

Chocolate Brown Sugar Bundt Cake with Cheesecake Swirl from Linda at 2 Cookin’ Mamas

This previous #Choctoberfest recipe looks so cute without a lot of extra work! Linda describes it as, “the rich taste of dark chocolate and creamy, tangy cheesecake and a hint of smooth white chocolate.”

Easy Molten Chocolate Cupcakes from Linda at 2 Cookin’ Mamas

Another entry from Linda, but this one in cupcake form. These cupcakes even freeze well, unlike most frosted cupcakes which don’t hold up as great in the freezer.

Spooky Double Chocolate Eyeball Cookies from Amy at Savory Moments

Cream the butter and sugar for these delightful Halloween cookies in your stand mixer and you’ll get a perfect consistency. For a non-Halloween version, just skip the eyeballs.

Kahlua Chocolate Cake from Sue at Sula and Spice

I’m a big fan of boozy desserts. This cake is super easy to make with your stand mixer: just dump in the ingredients and let it whirl! Like Sue notes, you can totally use a hand mixer as well if you don’t have a stand mixer, but with a stand mixer your hands are free to multi-task.

Homemade Chocolate Cake with Hershey’s Syrup from Abbe at This is How I Cook

Since I grew up in central PA, I am a Hershey’s fan through and through. This dense, fudgy cake takes me back to my college days when we used to literally be able to smell the Hershey’s chocolate factory in the air when the wind was blowing in the right direction!

Chocolate-Dipped Homemade Marshmallows from Triple Chocolate Kitchen (hey, that’s us!)

This is one of our most recent recipes. You really need a stand mixer to make these marshmallows due to the heat of the sugar mixer when it first comes off the stove and starts the mixing process. Plus, holding a hand mixer for 10+ minutes is just not very convenient!

Mocha Eclairs by Coleen at The Redhead Baker

When you make eclairs, you want to create gluten, so a stand mixer is the perfect way to work the dough. These sweet treats make the perfect dessert or grab-and-go breakfast. Don’t miss Coleen’s Flourless Chocolate Cake recipe, which is also best to make in a stand mixer.

The Best Chocolate Cake with Fudge Frosting from Dedra at Queenslee Appetite

Dedra calls this recipe “Moist and fudgy dark chocolate cake layers paired with a rich and silky fudge frosting!” Sounds like a winner to me! The frosting especially gets super delicious when you use a stand mixers since you can really whip it up to be light and fluffy.

Chocolate Lovers Cheesecake from Dedra at Queenslee Appetite

Another yummy recipe from Dedra, this cheesecake is perfect for chocoholics. I love using my stand mixers for cheesecakes to get that super smooth consistency.

French Silk Tartlets from Audrey at That Recipe

This little chocolate tarts are the only way you’ll stop be from eating the entire French silk pie! (It’s one of my favorite desserts, if not my favorite.) Use a stand mixer to get that silky, creamy texture. Oh, and if you liked my marshmallow recipe, Audrey has a chocolate version you can try as well!

Salted Caramel Cookie Bars from Stephanie at Long Distance Baking

Three layers of yumminess in these bars – what’s not to love? You can whip them up quickly using your mixer to create the dough. Stephanie also has a red wine chocolate cake recipe and a chocolate chip cookie butter recipe you should try out with your mixer.

Soft & Chewy Chocolate Cookies from Kate at Kate’s Recipe Box

I know some people are a fan of crispy cookies, but I am Team Chewy personally. These chocolate cookies come together quickly with the help of your stand mixer.

Chocolate Strawberry Pound Cake from Wendy at A Day in the Life at the Farm

Is there a more classic and romantic pairing than chocolate and strawberries? This cake was created as part of the “Bundt Bakers” group, so the post also has links to several other delicious chocolate bundt cakes you can try! And, for more stand mixer recipes from Wendy, try her chocolate cinnamon rolls or her sachertorte recipe.

Reese’s Cheesecake Brownies from Rebekah at Making Miracles

You had me at Reese’s. Then you had me again at cheesecake. These brownies look so yummy and it is easy to get the cheesecake layer nice and smooth with your stand mixer. If you love chocolate and peanut butter together, also check out this chocolate peanut butter bundt cake from Rebekah’s blog.

Chewy Chocolate Ginger Molasses Cookies from Erin at The Spiffy Cookie

This is the perfect cookie for your holiday plates or, like Erin did, add some ice cream to make a delicious chocolate cookie ice cream sandwich! Also check out Erin’s Chocolate Hazelnut & Pretzel Brownie Bricks and Double Chocolate Chip Soft Pretzels.
